Bio

Austin Maly is entering his first season as a Offensive Line Coach and History teacher at Deer Creek. He brings a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field, with a focus on building toughness, accountability, and strong relationships.

Prior to Deer Creek, Maly coached at Jones High School, contributing to a perfect 14–0 season and a 2025 Class 2A-1 State Championship. His offensive line played a key role in a dominant rushing attack that averaged 7.5 yards per carry while allowing just 11 sacks all season.

Maly also spent three seasons at Edmond Santa Fe High School as the Offensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. During that time, his units helped produce a record-breaking rushing offense, averaging over 6 yards per carry and setting a school record with 3,648 rushing yards in 2022. He has helped develop multiple All-State and All-Conference offensive linemen, with numerous players advancing to the collegiate level.

His coaching journey includes collegiate experience at Sterling College and Southern Nazarene University, where he served in multiple roles including Offensive Line Coach, Tight Ends Coach, and Director of Football Operations. Across stops, he has been heavily involved in game planning, recruiting, player development, and program operations.

A former four-year starting center and team captain at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Maly understands the game from a player’s perspective and brings that experience into his coaching approach.

He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Southern Nazarene University and a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Sports Science Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State.
