Evan Sprayberry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Secondary Education from Tabor College. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Management from Baker University.
Sprayberry played football at Tabor College, where he was a two-time NAIA First Team All-American and was named the KCAC Player of the Year in 2017. He was also a finalist for the 2017 NAIA National Player of the Year.
He began his coaching career at Baker University as a Graduate Assistant, coaching running backs and recruiting the state of Oklahoma. After completing his master’s degree, Sprayberry coached at Hennessey High School from 2020 to 2023, serving as the defensive coordinator for the Eagles. He played a key role in revitalizing the football program, transforming an 0–10 team into a playoff contender with a 7–3 record in his final season.
Sprayberry then returned to Baker University as the Defensive Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, where he coached three All-Conference players, helped the Wildcats win a conference championship, and reach the second round of the NAIA playoffs. He later returned to Oklahoma to become the Defensive Coordinator at Locust Grove High School.
A native of Moore, Oklahoma, Sprayberry and his wife, Taylor—who is from Edmond—are excited to be back in the OKC Metro and part of the Deer Creek family.
